Affirmation by Savage Garden

the following lyrics was taken from http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/savagegarden/affirmation.html

i think this song completely rocks!
it hits the SPOT man.
so completely true.
pple, pls go youtube to listen to it at http://youtube.com/watch?v=QpvwxK7F2BI&mode=related&search=

I believe the sun should never set upon an argument
I believe we place our happiness in other people's hands
I believe that junk food tastes so good because it's bad for you
I believe your parents did the best job they knew how to do
I believe that beauty magazines promote low self-esteem
I believe I'm loved when I'm completely by myself alone

I believe in Karma what you give is what you get returned
I believe you can't appreciate real love until you've been burned
I believe the grass is no more greener on the other side
I believe you don't know what you've got until you say goodbye

I believe you can't control or choose your sexuality
I believe that trust is more important than monogamy
I believe your most attractive features are your heart and soul
I believe that family is worth more than money or gold
I believe the struggle for financial freedom is unfair
I believe the only ones who disagree are millionaires

I believe in Karma what you give is what you get returned
I believe you can't appreciate real love until you've been burned
I believe the grass is no more greener on the other side
I believe you don't know what you've got until you say goodbye

I believe forgiveness is the key to your unhappiness
I believe that wedded bliss negates the need to be undressed
I believe that God does not endorse TV evangelists
I believe in love surviving death into eternity

I believe in Karma what you give is what you get returned
I believe you can't appreciate real love until you've been burned
I believe the grass is no more greener on the other side
I believe you don't know what you've got until you say goodbye

Singapore's National Day

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE! we're 42!

if my memory serves me correctly, i got my ndp tix the 1st time i attempted to ballot for it.
lucky me! :)

guess whose familiar face i got to see! my buddy keong! :)
so nice to see him la. poor him had to be mobilised so last min. guess they really needed all the uncle police men they cud get.

the seats i had were good. cept tt i cudnt quite c the planes & the 3D dynamic defense display properly...

got to the marina bay floating platform at ard 5pm. collected the goodie bags and went in search for seats. didnt get much of a choice bcos ushers wud tell u where to go n dere was police everywhere. their presence was quite intimidating.

overall it was a really cool concept. i applaud them for great effort and time spent into making this event so successful.
the fireworks were really beautiful.

at the end of the evening, the show ended ard 8.30pm.
by the time i walked back to city hall (raffles city) was ard 9.20pm.
it was one of the most traumatizing walks in my life.
the horde of pple was jus tooooo overwhelming man.
felt so sick and claustrophobic. gross man.
how ugly can singaporeans be sometimes man.
wads worst is they just got out of celebrating spore's bday.
so dumb. was so irritated man. all the pushing n shoving.
everything rolled into one was jus wrong.

however, somehow, it just wasnt ideal.

Corrinne May Concert - 030807

it was purely random (by chance) that i casually asked Lucas on MSN if he wud be interested to catch Corrinne May's concert with me.
and he kidnly agreed =)
thanks buddy!

well.. guess we're both quite the music pple..
SUPPORT LOCAL TALENT! haha.
she's really really good.
i was tearing & sobbing half the time throughout the concert.
her music and lyrics are just wayyy too touching for me to handle.
every word has a special meaning.

i cant wait to get my hands on her newest album! Beautiful Seed!
guys, u have to get it.
it's really really good. really.

all these yrs, i feel that her music has touched me so much.
it gave me a new feeling.
it somehow made me more positive.
if i had the chance to get her cd that day and get her autograph, i swear i wud hv told her what a great impact her music has created in my life.
its sooo amazing.
she's like heaven-sent.

im so glad i made it to this concert.
i didnt manage to get the tix to her previous... so this is grt.
and esp since my entire friday was so crazy.
i tink i've nvr made and received more calls in one day!
sry Lucas u didnt get much of my attention... haha =P

so friday came and went,
saturday (040807) at 0840hrs i arrived at riverview hotel (spore) to meet George, to take 4 Greek pax on a half day city tour. from 9am to 1pm.
it was fruitful :) thank god for the good weather too.
small grps r so much better to deal wif den large ones.
2 pairs of honey moon couples. how sweet rite! :)
yup.. so George is a greek rep who is relatively young..
he has no idea hw to lead a tour, so lucky him, dis is small.
the last time, grp of 14, his mum was so pro la! haha.
he told me she was so scared! but she really didnt seem one bit at all.
she seemed so well-prepared! :)
job well done to both of dem! for first-timers!
his mum cudnt do dis tour bcos she was away on a holiday. so she got her son to do it instead.. cos Fanis needed someone who cud speak Greek.
indeed. i dun understand a word of wad they say!
haha. but i tink its sooo cool.
greeks! haa. whn i tink of greeks, i tink of spartans! hurhur..

so after tour-leading i headed home to prepare for reading at church.
tt went fine as well. altho i knew i'd fall aslp during homily.
gosh. so embarassing. imagine a lector falling aslp during mass! :(
sry God, i was really tired.

the past few days my neck and back has been aching like crap! its nt funny man.
and of all times, my jaw has to act up too.
i feel like i've been in a fight, whereby i hv injuries all over tt kind..
heh.
siansation mannnnn! but no choice la! it's part n parcel of growing up! =)

dere's nthg special to mention abt sunday, cept tt i slept in, did some reading of my case study and went to grandma's hse. accompanied the adults to chk out a potential new apartment for my grandma. den dnr wif parents, sis, big D, mini D and Alli at some HK tea house place along Katong (upper east coast rd).
its not so nice man. svc sucks big time. food was very normal.
nthg spectacular at all. prolly wont b gng back dere agn.

tdy is monday, didnt do much as well...
went to the bank, marketing wif mum, aunty agnes came to visit so we chatted, i continued reading my case study and watched tv (ch8) kinship!
finally elvin ng likes jessica liu la! haii.. sometimes guys can b so dumb huh?
must go thru so much trials n tribulations then only realise.
oh well, dis is jus a show la huh! so lets hv more faith in our spore guys..
b4 they all become gay! =X
den agn... like as if we spore girls r so easy to be with...
we're all so difficult and princessy. gross.
one min talk abt being miss independent, the next, we're bitching abt hw incompetent our bfs are.
how contradicting huh?
oh well. that's life! =)

okies.. so tmr is tuesday!

both of us agreed tt it was such a fulfilling and productive sunday! haha
we hvnt woken up so early on sundays in a long long time.

gdness it was too healthy a brunch for me! =X brown rice, chicken waldorf salad and pasta.
after tt's done, we headed upstairs to the shops.
we went into HMV and treated ourselves to good tunes.
sis was generous enough to buy us 2 cds.
2 very very awesome cds which made us very very happy girls! =)
teehee.
Missy Higgin's On a Clear Night and Justin Timberlake's Future Sex Love Sounds!
been wanting to get these cds for the longest time... nw i finally hv dem.

its gd tt pple share the same interest/taste in music as u do.
yayyynnneesssss!

sis's initial objective was to purchase her grumpy care bears tshirt! -_-
gdness.. wad a big baby. hahaha.
so we headed to Heeren's Action City where we last saw tt tshirt.
it was still available! luckily! else she'd really turn grumpy for sure!

walked ard a little more b4 we headed to her office to dump her lap top and head home thereafter.
by the time we got home we were soooo lazy and slpy. all thanks to the dreary weather of late!
-_-
so we napped and urs truly didnt get down to doing any part of her assignment. siansation!

so nw i've to work doubly hard!
tnt is Lucas' acapella concert at esplanade! eeks! i wish him all the best!
hope his team wins! will be attending with Serene :)

Rihanna's Umbrella feat Chris Brown

when i 1st heard this song over the radio, i thot.. gdness wad an annoying song wif all the ella eh eh eh eh parts...
but the more u listen, it grows on u.
wad's more, u shud watch the video. rihanna is hot.
best part is to listen to the song/watch the video via youtube and read the lyrics i have below.
u'll come to realise this song is actually very meaningful.

noticed that the past few days have been raining? so dis song comes quite timely. haha. ok lame.

hope u guys appreciate it jus as much as i do.

(Uh huh, uh huh) Remix
(Uh huh, uh huh) Yea Rihanna, Chris Brown
(Uh huh, uh huh) Good girl gone bad
(Uh huh, uh huh) Take three... Action!
(Uh huh, uh huh) Ho!

No clouds in my storms
Let it rain, I hydroplane into fame (Eh, eh, eh)
Coming down with the Dow Jones
When the clouds come we gone
We roc-a-fella (Eh, eh, eh)
We fly higher than weather and G5's are better
You know me, an anticipation for precipitation
Stacks chips for the rainy day (Eh, eh, eh)
Jayy
Rain man is back with little miss sunshine
Rihanna where you at?

You had my heart
We'll never be worlds apart
May be in magazines but you'll still be my star
Baby 'cause in the dark you can't see shiny cars
And that's when you need me there
With you I'll always share because

When the sun shine we'll shine together
Told you I'll be here forever
Said I'll always be your friend
Took an oath, I'mma stick it out 'til the end
Now that it's raining more than ever know that we'll still have each other
You can stand under my umbrella
You can stand under my umbrella (ella ella eh eh eh)
Under my umbrella (ella ella eh eh eh)
Under my umbrella (ella ella eh eh eh)
Under my umbrella (ella ella eh eh eh eh eh-eh)

You're becoming a dream to me
Fairytale fantasy

Nothing can ever compare
An image to my memory
Girl I'm asking could you be my queen?
A vision on a magazine
That's when I'll be there
It's something we both share
Because

When the sun shine, we'll shine together
You know I'll be here forever
Although it's alot of rain outside
Girl it's getting late you can stay the night
But you can dip out anytime whenever
I can call a car I ain't tryna stress ya
I'm looking for the one with the glass slipper
Baby girl you can be my Cinderella (ella ella eh eh eh)
You can be my Cinderella (ella ella eh eh eh)
You can be my Cinderella (ella ella eh eh eh)
You can be my Cinderella (ella ella eh eh eh eh eh-eh)

You can run into my arms
It's okay don't be alarmed
Come into me
There's no distance in between our love
So go on and say my name some more
I'll be all you need and more (ah.. you ready?)
Because

When the sun shines, we'll shine together
Told you I'll be here forever
Said I'll always be a friend
Took an oath, I'mma stick it out 'til the end
But you can dip out anytime whenever I can call a car
I ain't tryna stress ya
I'm looking for the one with the glass slipper
Baby girl you can be my Cinderella ella ella eh eh eh
Under my umbrella ella ella eh eh eh
You can be my Cinderella ella ella eh eh eh
Under my umbrella ella ella eh eh eh eh eh eh

It's raining (rainin')
Ooh baby it's raining (rainin')
Baby come into me (oh)
Come into me
It's raining(Rihanna)
Oh baby it's raining(Rihanna)
You can always some into me
Come into me

guard your heart

had a long heart-to-heart talk wif cuzy John last nite..
he even prayed a prayer for me.
i was very touched i teared.

it was very heart-warming and sincere. so genuine.
thank u cuz for that chat. i really needed it.
u've always been my reality check. but we hvnt had such conversations in a really really long time.
at least 1 thing's for sure, we still hv that bond.
and i thank God for that.

thanks for listening and thanks for understanding.
on top of it all, thanks for not judging.

i do realise i hvnt been very Christ-like in recent yrs.. mayb the past 1 plus yr or so.
thats sad. very sad.
but now that i've noticed it. it's time to turn things ard.
a change of lifestyle perhaps.
i need a direction and i tink only God can help me.
i believe he will help me.

he's been my guiding light, my guiding star.
without him, i am nothing.

i like this phrase: "guard your heart"
it's true. if u dun guard ur own heart, who will?
u are accountable and responsible for urself at the end of the day.
never blame anyone or anything when smthg bad happens.
humility is a virtue. i sure hope i have some of that.

striving to be Christ-like isnt going to be easy. but nevertheless i must endeavour.
"my yoke is easy, and my burden is light"
this is wad im constantly being reminded of.
if Jesus can die for our sins so painfully and willingly, why cant we carry our little crosses?
why keep complaining and blaming God?

i need to learn to trust and put my whole faith in God once again.
i noe it is difficult but i must do it.
as my favourite hymn goes: "but it goes against the way i am, to put my human nature down, and let the spirit take control of all i do. but when those trials come, my human nature, shouts the things to do, and God's soft prompting can be easily ignored."

the whole entire song is just so beautiful and it describes exactly what i am, and how i think.
i shall be in search of the lyrics and post it once i get my hands on them.
im off to bed now it's gonna be quite a long week ahead!
i wonder wads in store! :)
projects that's for sure! haa.
time to catch up on studying too.
no time to lose!

goodnite! (",)

Raffles snippets

i just simply love the chandlier and staircase. it looks so ol' skool. really pretty.

SBG moments

sentimental moments

it has been such an awesome experience to be able to lead a group of 14 Greek tourists to a few places of interest in Singapore. it is really very different to look at Singapore when ure seated in a bus full of tourists, explaining to them brief history of Singapore and pointing out all the different sights around.
cheesy as dis may sound, but suddenly it made me so proud to be a Singaporean. esp yesterday.

altho there were many hiccups on friday when they 1st arrived in Spore. but i believe there were certain other spirit-lifting experiences that helped made things better.
thankfully we have some nice Singaporeans to make their visit more pleasant.

the grp consisted of both young and old, ranging from honey-mooners to elderly couples ard 40's to 50's age range... it's so heartwarming to see their enthusiasm as well as their interest. they asked many questions which werent difficult to answer, thankfully! haa.

one of the places we visited was the Singapore Botanic Gardens & National Orchid Garden. flowers are known to cheer people up. esp us girls. =P
it somehow helped mend some of my emotional damage.
then again, the half day spent with dem did help take my mind of things.
i'll upload some pix i took along the walk to the National Orchid Garden...
moments i captured that made me smile a little smile to myself - the beauty of the earth; soothes the soul =)

thanks uncle chan for this wonderful experience! :)
i'm so glad i did this.
hopefully there will be more to come. the experience is smthg money cant buy.
esp seeing the happy faces of tourists. this is fulfilling.
i am so glad to be of service to them. now i am renewed in my faith and endeavour for the tourism industry! yesss!

Audrey Hepburn / Moon River

i just finished watching the 1961 classic - Breakfast At Tiffany's.
i have to say it's an awesome movie.
i've always wanted to watch it but din seem to be determined enough to get my hands on it.
now finally!

i understand now, why pple r so hung up over Audrey Hepburn. i tink i've fallen for her too!
she is gorgeous. really beautiful lady.
may she rest in peace.

the movie was lovely. wad a touching story.
finding true love. not just for money, status and wealth.
but love in its purest kind. 2 pple belonging to each other.
so romantic isnt it? haha!
well this only happens in the movies these days.

before watching the movie, i came across this song, Moon River by Henry Mancini.
when i 1st listened to it, i could say i was kinda captivated by the music and tune.
on top of that, the lyrics is so romantic and touching.
so here goes...
"Moon River, wider than a mile, I'm crossing you in style some day.
Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker, wherever you're going I'm going your way.
Two drifters off to see the world.
There's such a lot of world to see.
We're after the same rainbow's end--
waiting 'round the bend,
my huckleberry friend,
Moon River and me."

it's just so cute how she seeks solace at a Tiffany and Co. shop down the streets of 1960's New York. just standing outside the huge shop, browsing bcos she knows she cant afford any of the items in there. seeing them just makes her feel better somehow.
very cute show. i'm just so glad i watched it.
my sunday is complete. =)

feminism

i think one day i might just join a feminist movement.

fem·i·nism –noun
1. the doctrine advocating social, political, and all other rights of women equal to those of men.
2. (sometimes initial capital letter) an organized movement for the attainment of such rights for women.
3. feminine character.

because the men don't get it....

now we know why there are increasing amounts of lesbians around the world.
GO GAY COMMUNITY!!! fight for ur rights!

stomach issues

while everyone is probably on their way to meet one another, for Denise's farewell get-together/dinner,
here i am stuck at hm alone. not literally. at least i still hv mum.

well it jus isnt fun to be stuck at hm wif food poisoning nw is it?
as most can guess, YES i feel like SHIT.
BIG TIME.

all the vomits and stomach aches is taking a toll on me. i find myself falling aslp even easier den normal days.
no thanks to my lack of energy intake and bloatedness.

being sick and alone isnt one bit fun. den agn im pretty much used to it.

1st 2 days of my last semester

i've had noon class yesterday and today.
wif a lovely RMIT lady prof.
she's a hottie for sure. esp wif her quite cool aussie accent.
sweetness.

hopefully i'm able to sneak a pic tmr during lecture...
she has stirred my interest in Managing Change.
it is quite a boring subject. but it is a necessity.
a cross between mgmt and HR mod.
so nthg too foreign to me.

however, the only down side to this module is the dozens of frameworks, matrixes, diagrams and tables/charts that plot out how to manage change and the whole learning process.
reminds me of my gd ol' buddy mintzberg wif his organisational configurations and predictions ......................................... and
Lewin's force field analysis etc... these dudes are genuises. haha. and must have been really bored too? =X

so it's time to get down and dirty in search of articles online on managing change for my assignment. i hope this is the start of smthg good and positive. time to hit the libraries soon too! welcome back sch life! :) it's the last 4mths of it. i hope it will be memorable.

the pursuit of happyness

i just finished watching a movie 'The Pursuit of Happyness'.
it's such a touching show, adapted from a true story.
the love of a parent and the will to succeed and survive.
his hard work did pay off. for the sake of himself and his son. he made it. he slogged.
his son trusted him no matter wad. no matter how ignorant/naive/innocent the young boy may be given his age, he still trusted his dad. his life was in his dad's hands.
his wife however, didnt know how to trust her husband anymore. she left san fran where they lived to go to new york to seek a new life and a new job.
she, on the other hand, cudnt trust her husband. she didnt wanna stick ard.
it is tough i can imagine. to entrust ur heart and life to ur significant other.
however, isnt tt how love is?
mysterious and risky. being in love is a gamble. it is all abt managing risks.
can u manage it?
it is not abt controlling or dictating. it's abt compromising and supporting.
would you support ur husband if there shud be a problem in his life?
would you stick ard? or would you choose to escape?
decisions decisions decisions. choosing to stick ard is easier said than done, esp in down periods, definately.
but do remember, it was a choice u made to marry that person in the 1st place. thru thick and thin, happy times and sad, in sickness and health.
the movie did help me realise smthg. loving unconditionally is really really difficult. cos inevitably, everyone is selfish. whether we like it or not, face it, we are humans afterall, narcissistic individuals.

think about this...
how hard is it for a person to be happy?
does happiness = contentment?

how do you know when you are truly happy?
how does one measure happiness?
does success = happiness?

wad is your happiness, what is your idea of happiness and how do you think you will go about achieving it?
smthg to think about perhaps...

as time and life passes swiftly by, there's alot of things and pple we often take for granted. intentionally or unintentionally.
it is difficult to make sense of it all. esp when most of us are always caught up with our own lives, interests, committment and responsibilities.
the inner battle begins when we stop admist our busy schedules and start reflecting; looking back into things that were said and done.
that's also when reality sets in and possibly regrets and emotions.

so much for carpe diem - seize the day...
how much of it can we truly seize?
how many of us actually believe in conducting reality checks from time to time?
and who do we choose to assist us with that?

some pple think they can jolly well do it themselves, but really, can they?
i always believe that we need a 3rd person's perspective. not just our own.
who are we to judge anybody, let alone ourselves.
both micro and macro perspectives are an integral part of our entire "vision" or mentality.
both are equally important and we must ensure nvr to leave any one of them out.
that is why we need another person, a close fren, someone we can trust in confidence and all honesty to not judge or betray us, to help & guide us thru our thot process/flow.

some may question, wads the pt of thinking so much? just live and let live rite?
well my answer to that is, thinking is a way of learning. a way of self-improvement. a way to grow and a way to satisfy doubts/queries.
im sure everyone wants to work towards the betterment of themselves isnt it?
i heard this statement last nite, it is not a direct quote. but it goes smthg like this: everyone can pull off an average/be an average; but it takes effort to be at either extreme ends of the spectrum.
i cant help but agree. this is so evident in our society tdy.

well, enough rambling for me.
as usual im jus "penning" my thots.

good reads

i find myself being a wee bit crazy over story books these days.
i think this shall be my new hobby! *chuckles*

found myself walking into MPH one fine day wif qin-a-lings and we spent quite a while in there scouting for good reads.
i made a not-so-surprising discovery abt my girlfren. she completes a novel in like a few days! when i say a few days i mean like 2 - 3 days! like crazy rite? mayb thats why she was in GEP and not me. haha.

she can read real fast man. its scary.
well thats cause i read real SLOW.
slower then my cuzy and definately much slower then most.
omg! maybe im dyslexic! hmmmm.. i've always sucked big time at math and i read/study super slow. so that's where i draw my conclusion. haha.

anyohow... yup so i have a few story books currently which have not been read. i'm three quads thru my latest buy frm Times. 'Simply Irresistable' is the title. indeed it has been. it's easy to read. every detail and adjective used is so descriptive and they become so vivid.
absolutely love it! :)
and i must say the story is touching and erm pretty sexual... haha. abt lust, relationships and such.

i'm looking forward to the ending! will be meeting my darling cuzy tmr for a "reading" session which we postponed frm the last time.
looking forward to complete this read. =)

i also came across this book by Paulo Coelho - The Witch of Portobello.
hope i can get my hands on it.
others also such as 'Golfing with God' by Roland Merullo
Jodi Picoult's - My Sister's Keeper, Vanishing Acts, Second Glance, Mercy

i must go get clear wrap to wrap my paperback books! shall do that tmr!

im jus hoping my enthusiasm for reading doesnt fizzle out! keep it going! woohoo!
reading is fun! esp nw tt im on hols! keep myself occupied.

so peeps, try picking out a gd read. it will help keep you grounded and take ur mind of the harsh realities of life from time to time. steal time away from our busy schedules jus to be by ourself and quietly read or adopt a reading buddy. how awesome is that.

I Will

my new cousin-in-law sang this song below to his bride (my cousin)
super duper touching man.
he sings not bad. must give him lotsa credit for courage and effort! :)
but really, this song is very nice.
lyrics below are from The Beatles apparently..
a few other singers did a cover of it too.
but i like it olllll' skooolllll ;)

Who knows how long I've loved you
You know I love you still
Will I wait a lonely life time
If you want me to I will

For if I ever saw you I didn't catch your name
But it never really mattered
I will always feel the same

Love you forever and forever
Love you with all my heart
Love you whenever we're together
Love you when we're apart

And when at last I find you
Your song will fill the air
Sing it loud so I can hear you
Make it easy to be near you
For the things you do endear you to me
And you know I will
I will
Ooo, la

The Holy Trinity Sunday

02 June 2007 - Alison's wedding

Church wedding service at Holy Grace Church along East Coast Rd.
the pastor, i must say, young and dynamic. i was impressed with his homily.
the parable/story he chose frm the bible was the first sign that Jesus performed in His life at the wedding in Cana.

last evening during mass, Fr. John Chua's homily was truly smthg to think abt.
this weekend is Holy Trinity Sunday. God the father, Son - our Lord Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
they make up The Holy Trinity.
God knew we man were born to be tangible creatures. therefore he chose Mary to give birth to a human, Jesus. God in human form. the one and only baby born without original sin.
as we know, we cant see God, for if we do see God we will die. so how do we know that God truly exists? my experience with God started back in primary sch. as young as i was. i always thot it was so nice to be at mass. all the students will gather in the hall and the priest will be there to celebrate mass. it was nt only an escape frm class time. but also a time to know more abt God.
morning prayers and hymns sung after recess. altho i nvr quite understood its significance. i did however know tt it was somewhat sacred. like a special time.

as we all know, the Christian faith is indeed mystical.
it is smthg that is beyond science and all human logic and understanding.
how does one call himself a Christian den?

is it jus pure faith?
there are some pple who really go all out to find out the truth about Christianity and the facts behind the mystery.
however, God is really infinite. he's so "big" and complex.
so how does anyone propose he/she finds out ALL abt Him?

books can only tell you so much, wad abt real life accounts/experiences?
we learn in school that our text books and 10yr series are just practices and guide books.
we still need to go thru the whole process of creative learning and sit thru our exams by ourselves. only then can we really say that we've experienced wad it's like to sit for PSLE or O Levels isnt it?

life is always abt experiences. books arent everything. they arent the gospel truth.
ironic isnt it? sometimes some pple are jus too logical therefore they cant comprehend the immense information abt the Christian faith. it just seems too illogical to them.
these are the kind of pple that needs the real life experience with God.
in fact the truth is i believe most of us do.

seeing is believing. that's wad Thomas said.
but wad God wants us to know is Believing is seeing.
how many of us can truly do that?
i can safely say for myself that i do not know much abt Jesus, his miracles or his life story. i shud be quite ashamed of myself in tt aspect. fancy calling myself a Christian/Catholic but i hardly pray the rosary, read the bible or lead a very Christ-like life.
but wad i do hold true to myself is my experiences with God.
thru my brokeness, happiness, sadness, weeping and growing. He's the only one that's been constant. God has worked wonders in my life. just when i thot all hope is gone. He'll always be there to lend a helping hand and see me thru wadever ordeal i might be facing in life.
i believe that God doesnt give us challenges in life too great for us to handle.
all we need to do is believe in Him and pray to Him. seek guidance and wisdom from above.
prayers can move mountains. but do you believe?

why must man be so selfish? why do we have to be so full of ourselves?
why do most of us find it so hard to swallow our own pride?
if Jesus can be so humble, why cant we? really, why cant we?
why do we scold others, blame others or get angry?
remember that when u point a finger at others, 4 other fingers are pointing right back at yourself.

pride, greed, anger, resentment, bitterness, unforgiveness, vengefulness, hatred, hurt, grief, selfishness.
do u possess any of these in your heart?
if u do, it is time to let it/them go.
when you have all these in your heart, you definately have no room for God.
it is only when u know how to love and respect yourself, then only can u share this love and respect with others.
everyone suffers setbacks in life. both great and small. but remember, wadever doesnt kill us, makes us stronger. we will always come out a stronger person.
once we are at peace with our inner being, we will be at peace with others.
slowly but surely.

the journey of self-discovery is long and arduous.
but it is up to us to see ourself thru it.

dont live ur life for others.
live it for yourself, so that others can see and know that you make a difference.

guess who's back!

announcing the arrival of my cuzy john. he arrive Spore ard 6am on 2 June just to make it in time for his sister's wedding! how sweet! best part is he's having his exams the following monday!

all the best cuz! God will make a way for u i'm sure.
